O secretário de imprensa americano, Robert Gibbs, disse em entrevista nesta sexta-feira (28) que o Egito precisa de reformas, mas que elas devem ser feitas pelo presidente Hosni Mubarak. O posicionamento da Casa Branca vem no quarto dia de protestos naquele país contra trinta anos de um mesmo governo.
Segundo Gibbs, liberdade de expressão, de manifestação, de organização e na internet devem ser garantidas no Egito. Perguntado se o tempo dessas mudanças serem feitas por Mubarak, o secretário de Obama foi categórico: "Absolutamente não".

It tops Paulson's near $4 billion in 2007, which the paper said he earned via "short" bets against subprime mortgages.
